Elven boots with embroidery by scargeear Elven boots with embroidery by scargeear
I already had a pair of black boots but I wanted one more pair of a light color. I decided to have a set of items that fit for an elven costume. The other two items are this bag and belt.

The boots are very comfortable and fit my feet like gloves.

how much would you charge to make another pair of these? Mens, size 9 1/2-10?

What kind of leather did you use for the body of the boot? Kind of looks like suede?

These are spectacular, btw!

What did you use for the sole? I'm trying to make my own boots and I'm having an impossible time finding sole solutions!

Thanks!

Thank you! I used cow leather of ~2.5 mm thick. Suede is usually much softer and thinner.

Did you use veg tanned?

No, I've bought the leather at the factory so it's probably chemically dyed. Veg tanned leather is a great choice too.

Any chance of getting that pattern still? I don't even want to mock it 100% just a first time costumer making boots for a SSMB princess zelda. Would be greatly appreciated.

These are absolutely beautiful, thank you SO much for sharing the pattern!! I'm excited to try to make my own! I'm looking at buying a really soft milled cow leather, but I'm not sure if that's the right kind to use..?

You're welcome! If the leather is strong and not too stretchy it's totally ok even it's soft and thin. Though please use a thicker and stiffer leather for the soles.

You are awesome! I got a couple of orthotic inserts. Should make them easy on my feets. I have a pile of people wanting to see them in person

thanks for the pattern, i needed a pair of elvish boots for a costume I'm working on, and now i can make my own!  however, I've never made shoes or boots before, would you mind explaining how you put these together, or recommending a good tutorial that i can use?
These are AMAZING, by the way

You may check this tutorial: scargeear.deviantart.com/art/M…
(the boots are for dolls, but the process is similar). In case of a human boots I just glued the outer sole to the inner one.

Sorry, my shoemaking method doesn't allow me to make the boots only having the measurements: several try-ons are mandatory!
